First Ever Scrapp'n Savvy Blog Hop

Welcome to the first ever Scrappn' Savvy blog hop! During this blog hop, you will visit each instructors' website and see some wonderful projects featuring the We R Memory Keepers "Love Struck" collection. You must leave a comment at each blog, and then return back to the Scrappn' Savvy blog and leave a comment that you have finished the hop. Treat Boxes (Pizza Style)

I decided to create something that would be easy to mass produce (for ALL your Valentine's) and didn't require anything more complicated than a cutter, score tool, bone folder, and adhesive.  I really LOVE my Martha Stewart Scoreboard (try it the next time you visit us at Scrappn' Savvy) but you can create this pizza style treat box with just a ruler and a stylus or bone folder.

      ©     Score your 6” x 11” print or cardstock at 1”, 5”, 6” and 10”.

©   Turn your paper and score the 6” side at 1” and 5”.

©   Cut slits up to the 1” and 5” score line and create 1” x 1” flaps.

©   Use your red tacky tape on the flaps.

©   Use your bone folder to create nice crisp folds.

©   Remove tape and line up the corners.

©   Decorate as desired (I LOVE the smaller prints on the 6” pads and the prints with 4 quarters) and the tiny tags and stamps. 

©   You might want to add a covered chipboard bottom if you have a heavier treat.

©   Fill with cookies, candy, and other treats. 

©   Enjoy!

Here I am in mass produce mode - only 15 more to go. I think my grandson's class will love these filled with heart shaped cookies. Perfect addition to the other things I have picked out for their treat bags. Happy Hopping!!!

Welcome to my world!

I decided it was time to enter the blogosphere ... one more thing to add to my "To Do" list.  Right now it is scheduled for 3 (am) which won't surprise those of you who know me in real life.  I don't sleep much ... something I plan to work on soon.  I have dedicated 2012 to simplifying my life, which means keeping the people and things that bring me happiness, friendship, peace, joy, entertainment, excitement, and hugs.  The rest needs to go.  We shall see how well I do on this journey.  To help me get started I will post my dessert recipes from the Friday night PJ crops at Scrapp'n Savvy here; as well as information, pictures, and supply lists for my Fast, Fun, & Done pages at Scrapp'n Savvy.  You will see pictures from projects I am working on, my current reading list (only the non-technical ones), which is mostly cookbooks and other how to books, templates, links to favorite sites, and even pictures of what not to do sometimes.
